Music Weekend participants. What do we give up and what do we gain when we surrender to an ensemble experience? How is making music together like making our world together? Hear responses to these questions expressed in word, song, and sound; featuring original songs and arrangements for chorus with bell choir accompaniment.
Rev. Adél Nagy, Balázs Scholar from Transylvania, guest minister; Chuck Halsted, Worship Associate; Life Journey: Peg Swain
Rev.Adél Nagy finished her theological studies in 2005, and served two years as an assistant minister and teacher of religious education. She presently serves as the minister in the village of Recsenyed,Transylvania, Romania (population 130, of whom 98% are Unitarian). She is particularly interested in the organizational life and dynamics of UU congregations, community building, conflict resolution and pastoral care. During her time in the States, she is looking for ways and methods to revive congregational life outside the church building and beyond Sunday services.
Surrender is a white flag flying in battle, signifying defeat. There are times when it is right to declare defeat, and in that moment of raising the flag, we’re opening a door to beginnings, not endings. Children & Youth in leadership roles for first 30 min.
